The configuration of automatic stacking systems in the End-of-Line area of press lines, often requires the distribute of parts to two outfeed conveyors. For this purpose, components can automatically be placed on the tooling nest of a discharge shuttle. By means of a highly dynamic linear axis, the shuttle system moves parts out of the discharge area of the press unloading system in throughput direction of the press and provides them, by means of a rotary axis, precisely positioned to stacking robots. Acceleration of 12 m/s² is achieved in the X axis. The shuttle systems are based on tried and tested assemblies by HORSTKEMPER. The automatic tooling change for the shuttle is performed parallelly by one of the stacking robots and is an integral part of an automatic End-of-Line system.
